Sri Eleven Rudri Shiva Temple was established in the Mahabharata period. It is believed that Lord Sri Krishna established the temple after the war of Mahabharata was over. In the war of Mahabharata, millions of soldiers of Kauravas and Pandavas were killed. For the peace of the souls of the slain soldiers, Lord Krishna established eleven Rudras in Kaithal. After the establishment, Lord Krishna and the Pandavas offered prayers.
